At Wooden Gate Makers, we like to give the opportunity to train the traditional skill of joinery to the next generation.
Our apprentice Henry has just completed his level 2 Bench Joinery Apprenticeship. He is going to start level 3 in September 2019, where he will learn skills needed to run a joinery business such as pricing and supervisory skills.

This year we offered a two week Work Experience opportunity to Arron, a 15 year old pupil at a local school. He undertook some basic joinery work and observed more complex aspects of the job. He also designed a photo board to display some of our products.
We received a certificate and a letter from the school thanking us for being part of their work experience programme.
