We handcraft our hardwood gates from Sapele, Iroko, or European Oak. Each boasts exceptional stability and is almost completely resistant to rot, decay, and weathering. 


With skills honed over decades of experience, we use traditional craftsmanship techniques (like mortise and tenon joints) and state-of-the-art equipment to ensure lasting strength. All of our pieces are created in one of our two Dorset studios.

    • Are your hardwood gates treated?

      Hardwood gates are naturally resilient to the elements and will retain their structure for many years, though their colour may fade without treatment. We offer treatment as an optional extra, should you require it. 

    • What treatment do you apply to your hardwood gates?

      We use Barrettine Wood Protective Treatment in Light Brown, which absorbs deeply into the wood for long-lasting protection. For an additional cost, we can provide you with an extra tin with your order.

    • Are all of your hardwood gates handmade?

      Yes, all of our gates are handcrafted in our two workshops in Poole, Dorset. We make each gate to order, based on your exact sizes and specifications.

    • Do you offer installation?

      We offer a full supply and fitting service in Dorset and the surrounding area. We can  also supply to the rest of the UK.
